After many years of buying online;  I am beside myself to find British multinational retailer Topshop (which specialises in fashion clothing, shoes, make-up and accessories) to be opening a flagstore in Sydney! After many rumours of opening days flying around, a date has been settled on, October the 4th. The Sydney store will be the second store in Australia, the first opened in Melbourne December of last year.

Beginning back in 1964 in the basement of a department store, Topshop has now grown to over 440 shops across 33 countries. In 1970, Topman was created as a spin-off brand to cater for male customers and is now run as a separate chain, although some stores are co-located.

With designers at High Street prices alongside fashion items for the budget conscious Topshop has attracted a multitude of customers, including a variety of royal and celebrity customers;  Kate Middleton, Rihanna and Lindsay Lohan.

Collaborations with Christopher Kane and Kate Moss has led to Topshop’s London store in Oxford St to become the world’s biggest high-street fashion store, attracting more than 200,000 people a week.

With a bunch of pop-up events and giveaways happening when the Melbourne store opened, make sure you take some time out to pop in! (45 Market Street, Sydney 2000)
