Who needs to visit an art gallery? Print in fashion is not new, but with technological advancements, innovation and a dash of flair a surge of photosynthesis prints provide an almost 3D effect to finished garments. This funky fusion of colour, print and real-life-drama makes the wearer look like a sculptural installation that moves. One brand which applies this with aplomb is Ostwald Helgason – a forward-thinking fashion duo which includes Susanne Ostwald and Ingvar Helgason. The German and Icelandic designers met in London, won a couple of design grants from the German government and showed their first joint collection at Paris Fashion Week shortly thereafter. Ostwald Helgason launched in 2006 and stocks far flung countries around the globe – such as Denmark, Iceland and Hong Kong. What about Australia guys?
