Life is a funny thing. Things are never really quite as they seem. The older I get, the wiser I become in some departments, while in others I clearly do not. One particular area that I fail to learn life’s lesson is counting my chickens before they’re hatched. Take, for example the recent shenanigans while looking for an office for the new Miss Moss HQ. At first, things are looking GREAT: glam spot, all go-go, decent rent..blah..blah…I, true to form – being an eternal optimist – believe the deal is IN THE BAG. I dream of where my desk can go, how to arrange the shelving, how the sun will stream in through the window around 9am. The new MM HQ is all sunshine and light in my mind. Then – BAM – I’m screwed (for reasons I won’t divulge), the dreams’ gone, dead kaput. Grrrr. So, I start to look again. And the same thing happens. Suddenly I wake up. I’ve learned the lesson: today is a new day. Karma will be suitable dished out. But – this time there are no chickens in my basket.
Aren’t these bracelets fabulous? They’re part of the Miss Moss Rockin’ Ruby range of resin bracelets which come in pink/mauve; olive/black; red/brownn (pictured); and cream/gold. This particular style of resin is not easy to achieve with a 25% lose rate when in production. The colours in the resin are due to paint and coloured pigments which swirl around before the resin soldifies and creates its own unique combination of the colours used for each bracelet which makes every single one completely individual. We love that!
It’s official! The online E-Boutique is now UP-AND-RUNNING! Goodness grassy-arse; mon dieu ..etc..!! Check it out at www.online.missmoss.com.au It’s fun, fabulous, fantastic! Where’s the champagne?
All that is old is new again. Miss Moss Fashion is currently in the throes of negotiating a new studio/office space after being turfed out of our much loved old space (boo..hoo..commerce, gentlemen). But there is light at the end of the tunnel. Down the Milton highway/street, there’s a darling little cottage that I’ve got my eye on. Charming, heritage listed, quaint, whimsical romantic, even. All the things which make THIS heart sing. Fingers/legs crossed that that this cottage becomes the new home for Miss Moss Fashion Australia. I will keep you posted.

I’ve always been a big fan of WISH clothing. It happened quite by accident. I found that every time I selected an item of clothing, from numerous, random stores, the item – on many occasions – turned out to be designed by Aussie label WISH. This little cutsie number is really gorgeous. Nothing like a bit of tribal inspired bling. Think I might need to jump online now and part with some hard earned, but eaily spent bucks. Ciao!
Did you miss those queens of style, Trinny & Susannah, last time they were in Australia? Now they’re back in a series of appearances at Westfield Shopping Centres across this wide brown land. You can watch them on Style TV to get the latest buzz on what these formidable chicks are up to. These girls are fabulous, funny and flamin’ fantastic – so click yer clicker. These gals have taught women around the world to CHILL OUT about their shape and GET ON WITH IT! Hurrah!
Just back from an extended road trip and I am pooped! Yesterday/today I visited Batemans Bay, Narooma, Tilba (what bliss!), Bermagui, Merimbula and Pambula. This part of the world – east coast of NSW, Australia – is simly divine. Heritage homes, old stone churches, rolling hills and lots of smiling faces. Tilba is a real highlight. I can imagine settling in there for a good week with my family, soaking up the relaxed vibes and rambling down the hill to nearby Bermagui for a paddle in Walliga Lake to cool off. Bliss! Earlier in the week it was Sydney, Berry and Huskisson for Miss Moss. Things are looking positive. I’ve received great feedback on my new bags and heaps of ideas for the next collection. I’m thinking skirts with plenty of ruffles; loose printed (and possible beaded) caftans; leather belts which tie rather than buckle; and possibly some new bags in fringed leather. In the meantime, I have to find a new office as I’ve been turfed out. I have faith in the powers that be to provide something fab-delicious! Crossin’ these fingers.
