The talented Mr. De Smedt has a swag of design awards under his belt. In 2004, his Stavanger Concert Hall, was applauded “the world’s best concert hall” at the Venice Biennale; while his Maritime Youth House was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award and later took out London’s AR+D Award. For an in depth interview with Julien have a look at the interviews section on Designboom.

The fashion label, Basso & Brooke, is headed by Bruno Basso and Christopher Brooke, who in September 2004, won Fashion Fringe which is part of London Fashion Week. This talented duo describe their style as playful, subversive and individual; while they claim the inspiration for their 2009/10 Spring/Summer collection includes artist Jeff Koons, hyper-reality and photographer Herb Ritts. What about that musical?
